Vonandi svíður þetta ekki of mikið.

Annars er svolítið fúlt að TB t.d. séu ekki með föst verð á Inspection I og II fyrir helstu gerðir. Hér úti eru sérfræðingarnir oftast með föst verð á standard I og II sem mér finnst mjög gott að vita til.

verðin fara bara algjörlega eftir því hvað þarf að gera.....skoðunin sjálf kostar nú ekki svo mikið, en þar sem skoðunin felur í sér yfirferðá flestum slithlutum þá er allur gangur á verðinu.

Hér er einn á spjallborði að kommenta á nauðsyn Inspection II í eldri bílum.

Check front control arm bushing for wear. Ditto
Check brake and clutch system connectors and lines for leaks, damage, and incorrect positioning. Ditto
Check for free movement of the parking brake cables. Adjust parking brake if necessary. Yeah sure
Check all tyre pressures (including spare). are you that lazy?
Check condition of tyres (outer surfaces (left/right)), tread wear and pattern; In case of uneven tread wear readjust wheel alignment if required. oh hum
Check thickness of parking brake linings.ooh err missus
Half-shafts; check for leaks at flexible boots.Look at em
Inspect entire body according to terms of rust prevention limited warranty.
ohhh difficult
Engine Compartment
Read out diagnostic system YOU NEED THIS
Check engine cooling system/heater hose connections for leaks. any puddles?
Check coolant level and antifreeze protection level; add coolant if necessary. hmm is it blue?
Check level of brake and clutch fluid in reservoir tricky might involve unscrewwing something
Check windshield washer fluid level and antifreeze protection. Fill up and/or correct if necessary. needs expert for this one
Check air conditioner for operation. is it cold?
Reset Service Indicator. this ones for them 2 seconds
Replace spark plugs. hey beyond all but the most specialist mechanic
Replace intake air cleaner element. hmmm clips somewhere
Body/Electrical Equipment
Check battery electrolyte level and add distilled water if required. omg it didnt start
Check lighting system, i.e. headlights, foglights, parking, backup, license plate, interior (including map reading lights), glove box, flashlight, illuminated makeup mirrors, luggage compartment lights. fcuk me how on earth do i do that!?
Check instrument panel and dashboard illumination. where is it???!!!
Check all warning/indicator lights, check control. dont i do this at least 50 times a trip?
Check turn signals, hazard warning flashers, brake lights, horns, headlight dimmer/flasher switch. Look in shop window reflection
Check wiper and washer system(s); wiper blades, washer jet positions. duhhhh
Check condition and function of safety belts. oh yeah what are they?
Oil hood, trunk/tailgate, and door hinges. dont be silly
Grease hood, trunk/tailgate and door latches. Check operation of all latches. Very silly thing to do
Check central locking/double lock. go out now and check its important!
Replace microfilter or Acc Cabin Filter. 3 little thingees to undo
Check heater/air conditioner blower, rear window defogger. when its winter
Check rear view mirrors every 3 seconds as on your driving test
Visually examine the SRS airbag units for torn cover
obvious damage or attachment of decals, decorations, or accessories. . go on, dont put it off!
now pay the man

Þjónustudagskráin.

Sótti annars bílinn áðan, nýjar fóðringar að aftan, ný millibilsstöng og bara almennt gott ástand (og bráðnir súkkulaðimolar í hitanum) og reikningurinn náði ekki einu sinni 200.000kr (með kraftsafslætti auðvitað...).
